Includes:

Client and family interview

Formal assessment of speech, language, and/or cognitive skills through standardized testing

Development of an individualized treatment plan, based on current research

Focus on achieving the client's personal communication goals
Individual Treatment Sessions
Following the Initial Evaluation, 60 minute follow-up treatment sessions will be scheduled. The frequency of follow-up sessions depends on each individual treatment plan.
Speech, language and cognitive treatment plans include:

Education of patients and their families on expected outcomes

Research-based treatment techniques

Development and training of a home practice program

Information on local community and medical resources

I treat adults with aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, cognitive-communication impairments, and other disorders affecting communication.
